What the plugin does
- Checkout shows Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Crypto with a coin selector; billing and card fields are hidden.
- The order is saved in the token state together with the checkout data, then the member pays on the UTOPAY page.
- When the payment, re-read through the API, matches the amount and currency, the plugin calls PMPro’s
pmpro_complete_async_checkout()— the level, emails and add-ons run as for any checkout. - Orders → Recheck token order in the admin asks UTOPAY for the payment status.
- Levels with automatic renewal are refused at checkout with a clear message.
Installation
- Download the ZIP above. Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Install → Activate.
- Memberships → Settings → Payment Gateway & SSL (PMPro 3.5+: Payment Gateways → UTOPAY → Edit Settings): select UTOPAY.
- Create a test key
utopay_sk_test_…in the UTOPAY dashboard (Integration → API keys) and paste it; choose payment options and coins. - For crypto add your EVM wallet in the dashboard (Project settings → Funds & payouts).
Test payment
- With the test key check out a one-time level.
- In the UTOPAY sandbox press the green ✅ button.
- You return to the confirmation page; the membership is active and the order is Success.
- Replace the key with
utopay_sk_live_….
How memberships are confirmed
Each payment carries its own notification URL (admin-ajax.php?action=utopay_pmpro) with the order code, amount and currency, signed with your secret key. UTOPAY signs every event (HMAC-SHA256) and retries for six hours.
The plugin checks both signatures and re-reads the payment through the API; the confirmation page repeats the check when the member returns.
